Ye Rishta Kya kahlata hai? Child Marriage

Child marriage memes and Rajasthan are linearly correlated. Seems like those memes have inspired the Gahlot government.

Earlier, laws ensured up to 2 years of jail to parents who married their daughter before she turned 18 or son before he turned 21.

People would therefore stay in constant fear of getting caught and jailed, and fined. It did curb child marriages to some extent if not all. Even if some took place covertly, they'd wait for the kids to attain majority and then apply for marriage registration.

Whereas now, the couple will just need to go to the marriage registration officer of their area, catch him in a good mood, get their child marriage certified, and live happily ever after...until a dowry case is filed!

The new law has cheered up my gloomy Rajasthani friends who couldn't get a girlfriend in college. Trust me, guys, the only thing you'll get married to before 21 is memes and porn

Even I am perplexed. Should I focus on my career, or should I start finding a bahu for my mom?
Should I write my assignments, or should I start sliding into minor girls' DMs?

The minister says that the new bill doesn't validate child marriage; it allows you to register if you "accidentally" get married before the legal age.
However, the district collector can still take action against you if they want.

Le* me : Arrey kehna kya chahte ho?

Isn't it like having a school fight? You have to tell your mother, but whether you'll be praised for beating the shit out of other kids or get the shit beaten out of yourself will depend on your father's mood in the evening.

Advocate general Vibhuti Bhusan said that the amendment would streamline marriage certificates needed at several places. Wasn't Aadhar card the document meant for this purpose? Personally, either I'm so ugly that they think I won't get married in the first place, or it's utterly stupid on their part.

What good will it be once you are married, even if the marriage is registered or nullified? You'll be unmarried in papers but always the married kid in society.
Will you as a kid even have the above choice? On your wedding day, you'll be worried about the number of Rasgullas you eat rather than the legality or the emotional and social consequences of your marriage.

On a serious note, though, child marriages are an actual scene in some places of Rajasthan. This idiocy will just provoke them. There are limited registered cases right now because there's fear of current laws. New laws will encourage people towards violation.

The government is confused. And it is confusing the people too.
It tells my parents to get me married soon, might I not get a Sarkari job later to bait a girl.

Oh yeah! Isn't that the perfect way to remove the need for employment? I hope there are no feminists here. Or at least they can take a joke.

One where it all faded

There was a ray of light,  Once shined bright as the lamp post of dead night.  Forever it said, it will shine, walk through the path to the final shrine,  I walked, i fell, i crawled, i fainted, I opened my eyes and i still waited, The light forgot my eyes,  Took a turn and went for skies, I was promised forever,  but it is beyond forever where my soul flies

The one who speaks but never answers.

India is a democratic country. We have enjoyed and harnessed several of its democratic features throughout our lives. But we can all agree that there is one idiosyncrasy missing in the 21st century . The very essence of democracy that 'the government elected by the people is answerable to them' seems to exist no more. From 2004 to 2014, we had a prime minister adorably labelled as the majority's  'mute PM.'  He seemed to bite his tongue on many grave matters. Consequently, our people lost their belief in their leader, and the result was evidently devastating for Congress. Miraculously, we saw hope in Modi Ji , the guy who would speak up for everything, talk about all the good things the citizens wanted to hear. We finally had a leader who spoke, voiced our needs, responded to our queries, travelled the world, and told us what India was and where it deserved to stand in the global picture. But seemingly, it was all a bare-faced lie. We all became devotees of a polit...
